Prepare for the Upcoming Season with AFC School/Sports Physicals
Prior to the start of the school year or sports season, each child enrolled will need to undergo a physical to ensure that they are physically fit and well to participate in classes and physical activities. AFC Urgent Care West Long Branch works with local school districts to perform physicals to each school’s requirements to ensure your children are healthy for the upcoming year.
If your child is planning on participating in an athletic program, AFC Urgent Care West Long Branch also performs sports physicals for each season. What Is Done During a Physical?
Our school physicals are comprehensive and your child will be able to leave our center with all of the correct and completed paperwork to begin the school year.
During your child’s physical, one of our medical providers will assess and perform the following:
- A review of the child’s medical history
- Measure the child’s heart, blood pressure, weight and height
- Examine the child’s eyes, nose, ears, lungs, spine, and abdomen
- Test the child’s flexibility, strength, balance, and posture
